• Battery contradiction: the same outlet has also run a separate story tipping the iQOO 16, alongside the Neo 12 and Z12 Turbo, for batteries up to 10,000mAh, a full 1,500mAh above its own spec box figure for the same phone.
• India-launch risk: a tipster covered by 91mobiles claims the iQOO 16 may not launch in India at all, citing rising component costs. That's a bigger deal than any spec disagreement.
• Social leaks: YouTube channels covering the phone have floated a 185Hz display and a price near ₹1 lakh, and separately teased an iQOO 16T with liquid cooling and a fan, a different device from the core 16 series discussed here.

Set against that: smaller aggregators and social clips have floated a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 or an unnamed MediaTek chip for the phone. Neither claim carries a named source with a track record on iQOO hardware, and both look more consistent with iQOO's Z-series and Neo-series phones, which regularly run 8s-series Snapdragon or MediaTek Dimensity silicon at lower price points.
